About Fatima

I'm a Clinical Nurse Specialist with 10 years of experience in a large teaching and trauma hospital in Sydney. I've worked across medical, surgical and emergency nursing, as well as in infection prevention and control, where I've stepped into Clinical Nurse Consultant roles.

Supporting students and new nurses has always been part of my work, and it's the part I enjoy most. I'm a calm, warm person by nature, and mentoring has always come naturally to me.

I completed my Bachelor of Nursing at the University of Technology, Sydney, followed by a Master of Brain and Mind Sciences at the University of Sydney. I also hold a Graduate Diploma in Psychology from the University of New South Wales, and an Honours in Psychology from UTS. The psychology background shapes how I teach. I pay attention to how people actually learn, where understanding breaks down, and how stress gets in the way of both.

I studied for years while working in busy clinical environments, so I know the pressure, the overwhelm and the self doubt that come with it. I've sat where you're sitting!

My approach is simple, clear and practical. I focus on the 'why' behind theory and practice rather than memorising content, because that's what holds up in an exam and on the ward.

Sessions are built around whatever you're working on. Send me the assessment task, the lecture slides or the topic you're stuck on beforehand, and we'll work through it together. You'll leave knowing what to do next.

About the lesson

I'm a Clinical Nurse Specialist and tutor, and my lessons are for University and TAFE nursing students and new graduate nurses who want structured, practical support.

Sessions run for about 60 minutes, online, and are built around whatever you're working on. That might be an assessment task, clinical reasoning, pathophysiology, OSCE or placement preparation. Send me the task sheet, the lecture slides or the topic you're stuck on beforehand and I'll come prepared, so we spend the hour working rather than catching up.

My teaching is grounded in real nursing experience. I break things down into the simplest version that still holds up, and I focus on the 'why' behind theory and practice, because that's what stays with you in an exam and on the ward.

You can book a single session or a regular weekly slot, whichever suits. Most students start with one session to see how we work together.

I know how heavy nursing study feels while you're juggling placement, work and everything else. My aim is to make it clearer, lighter and achievable.
