About JJ
I began playing violin in an after school 5th grade strings program in 1994, and played every year after that through high school. Through my sophomore year of college, I was a member of the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) symphony orchestra. I have also had the privilege of being a guest member of the San Antonio Symphony four times. Currently, I am a 14+ year member of my church's worship team. I look forward to meeting you!

Teaching method: Individualized and structured to meet the specific needs of the student
A typical lesson plan will focus on the fundamentals and basics of music.
Beginner students will be learning the notes and finger placement on the violin and proper bow holding technique
Intermediate and Advanced students will be learning/reviewing scales, then moving on to repertoire of pieces they are needing assistance with in regards to preparation
Classically trained violinist for over 32 years
Member of the University of Texas at San Antonio symphony orchestra through sophomore year of college
Played as a guest member for the San Antonio Symphony four times
Current member of my church worship team for 14+ years
Lessons are for beginner, intermediate, and advanced students beginning at the elementary school level
