About Odessa
Training in the French tradition shapes how I approach the violin today. Frankly, I find that even advanced players often struggle with the basics. My BMus Violin degree informs how I explain subtle physical mechanics to adult students. I have spent 10 years refining these pedagogical methods.
Self-taught players frequently appreciate the clarity I provide regarding bow holds and intonation. Developing ear training skills is central to my own practice as well. I work primarily with intermediate learners who seek a logical framework.

Pacing must be slow to ensure your bowing technique remains truly sustainable. Counterintuitively, rushing through repertoire often leads to significant plateaus in development. During our time, I utilize a split-screen camera to demonstrate double stops or specific left-hand shapes clearly.
This visual setup allows me to correct your posture instantly. Because I hold a BMus, I emphasize the nuance behind classical repertoire. Tuning by ear is a pillar of our work together. My 10 years of instruction prove that consistent feedback loop is vital.
