About Margarida
I am a Portuguese PhD student at Columbia University. Before coming here, I studied Philology in Lisbon, São Paulo and Barcelona, and I've taught languages (dead or alive) throughout the years in all of these places.
I am passionate about languages and I love teaching.

I have experience teaching both Philology academics and people with no background whatsoever in any subject related to Sanskrit or even languages in general and who are just curious, because of their yoga practices, for instance. I adapt to my students' needs and goals while always being extremely rigorous. I try to introduce original Sanskrit texts as soon as possible, so the student can familiarize themselves with "real uses" of the language and their learning experience early on.
