About Emily
I have a Classical Music Degree from Goldsmiths University of London. I have been playing the piano and singing since the age of 8 and I now write my own songs and enjoy teaching music theory. I studied at the Royal Academy of Music and Silvia Youngs Theatre School.
I have taught primary school children in Kenya (Music, Maths & English) and have privately tutored children of my parent's friends over the years. I love working with children and young adults.
My twin brother has severe autism, so I am also very confident in catering to the needs of individuals with various learning abilities and am a very good communicator.

My approach to teaching is determined on an individual basis, tailored to the needs of the student. I plan and structure lessons to fit the ability and learning pace of the student, constantly checking in to make sure they feel comfortable with their progress. I like to think I am a warm and friendly person, who is very patient and a good listener.
