About Ameek

Like many of you, I grew up extremely curious about the world around me, and have a passion for understanding what drives so many of the basic natural phenomena. Turns out, it's a lot of physics, which is a lot of math. I'm not sure if it's exactly this which helped me pass advanced math classes with flying colors throughout my academic career, but it surely has encouraged me to help fellow students in grasping the same concepts. I strive to develop a solid connection with my students and to ensure that each tutoring session is a two-way street- I both teach, and am taught about what to teach next. I can say with confidence that you will benefit from having me as a tutor, and I'll try my best to make it somewhat fun too.

About the lesson

> Student-led sessions where I am told exactly what they need help with, so I know where the student currently stands and which lessons will be best for them

> Sessions are simply composed with some instructional slides accompanied by my commentary, Socratic questioning, and a few practice problems. This is just a loose structure, however, and I can adapt my lesson plan as needed without problem.

>Encourage student to observe where the concept learned in-session can be applied to the world around them, developing a stronger grasp on the core of applied mathematics

> Lessons are aimed at high-school students, though middle school through to freshman college should be fine. While all students can benefit from my lessons, I believe those seeking a future in engineering or related STEM field will find them especially useful
