About Jack
Kia ora, ko Jack toku ingoa! I'm 20 years old and in year three of my civil engineering degree at the University of Auckland. Right now I'm in Freiburg, Germany on an exchange, where I'm perfecting my German language skills, absorbing world-class expertise in renewable energy, and enjoying a cheeky Berliner here and there. Exhaustive knowledge of NCEA maths and physics is a given. I offer the bonus factors that take your tutoring experience to the next level. Since I was eleven, I've been involved non-stop in community service - from which I've developed great listening skills. I want to get to know you as a person and help you reach your goals. Plus, I have hundreds of hours of experience!

My tutoring style is engaging and personal. I enjoy getting to know each of my students and building a system unique to each of them. Fundamentally I disagree with rote learning solely to pass exams and achieve high grades - whilst these criteria are important, I endeavour to distill a hunger for learning which transforms gaining academic excellence into a natural process.
Central to this is sharing practical examples that enable students to discover the real-world utility of their skills. I love learning and I love teaching. Take this journey with me!
Generally, my lessons target up to year 13 in maths and science (where I obtained only excellence), but supplementarily I tutor German, geography, and English.
