About Erik

Hi, I’m Erik from Taiwan, and I’m a bag designer.

️ I love learning new things and trying different cultures. I enjoy surfing, hiking, and camping. Right now, I live in Berlin, Germany, where I’m learning German.

I’ve worked as a Chinese tutor in Taipei, joined language exchange groups, and taught English at an elementary school. This has helped me learn how to use conversation to help students understand different ways of speaking.

I’m a patient teacher and like to guide students through conversations, helping them learn while talking. Since I’ve learned English and German, I understand the challenges of learning a language. I’ll do my best to help you reach your goals, and seeing my students improve makes me happy.

My teaching style is relaxed and friendly. I want students to feel like they’re chatting with a friend. By talking about your personal experiences, you’ll understand different Chinese sentence patterns better. Connecting your life with the language is an easy way to remember words and sentences.

About the lesson

I have 3 years of experience as a Chinese tutor in Taipei, participated in language exchange groups, and was a substitute English teacher in a Taipei elementary school. Because of this, I know how to use conversation to connect students' experiences with learning different sentence expressions.

Based on my learning and teaching experience, I believe the best way to learn is through speaking practice.
Speaking with others is much more effective than studying alone! In class, I’ll provide key vocabulary and sentence patterns to guide conversations on different topics and situations.
This way, practice is close to real-life scenarios, so when you need to use the language, you won’t feel nervous or forget what to say.️
