About Liz

I have 3 years of experience teaching Chinese in Toronto and another 3 years in Shanghai and Hong Kong. As an experienced tutor, I am dedicated to tailoring lessons to meet each student's unique interests and needs. I hold a BA in Chinese Language and Literature from Shanghai Normal University, known as the cradle of teachers in China, and a Master’s degree from City University of Hong Kong. My time in Hong Kong, combined with my passion for language learning, has allowed me to become fluent in Cantonese, enabling me to offer instruction in both Mandarin and Cantonese. With a strong foundation in teaching Chinese as a second language, I am also passionate about integrating Chinese cultural knowledge and interactive methods into my lessons. I strive to guide students to proactively engage with the language.
