About Maximiliano

I am a Chilean, physics teacher and father living in the United States. I love my native language, Spanish, and sharing it with other people. I have been teaching Spanish for nine years to people of different ages and nationalities. When you meet with me, you will be engaged and encouraged to improve your Spanish speaking and writing. I am committed to my students and use fun activities so they learn the language in a practical and playful way.

About the lesson

My lessons are created primarily based on the students' requirements and needs. These requirements include preparation for Spanish knowledge tests, speaking Spanish as a tourist, technical Spanish, and improving pronunciation.
I tailor my lessons based on students' needs. I talk to students beforehand to find out the reasons why they need or want to learn Spanish, and I use what they share to plan my lessons.
My teaching methodologies are diverse and adaptable for each student. I teach using interactive activities involving songs or newspaper articles, conversations, and traditional grammar lessons for those who need to pass assessments.
My tutoring aims at people of all ages in the process of learning or maintaining their Spanish. As a tutor, I use neutral Spanish in my lessons. I also teach different uses of the Spanish language depending on the country (i.e., Spanish from Spain, Argentina, Mexico, or Colombia).
Finally, I position myself as a collaborator in the students' journeys of learning and maintaining their Spanish. I am an enthusiastic tutor who uses all his knowledge and experiences, so my students can meet their goals using the wonderful language of Spanish.
