About Truman
Hi! My name is Truman, and I am currently 19 years old, studying at the Parsons School of Design. I started playing chess at the age of four on my school's chess team in St. Louis and played competitively until the age of 15 (top 1000 nationally), achieving a peak FIDE rating of roughly 1500. I have past experiences working with children in past summer camps I have worked at and teaching my peers in high school chess clubs.

My lessons are extremely beginner-friendly, and all ages and skill levels are welcome. I played chess competitively for 8 years and now play as a hobby. The structure of lessons varies with skill levels, and I am willing to work with a student and develop a unique lesson plan for them. I have experience teaching chess in high school chess clubs and at past chess camps.
