About Senna
My interest in chess began when I joined a local chess club during my early school years. I quickly became fascinated by how the game combines creativity with logical reasoning. This curiosity led me to explore strategic thinking more deeply and eventually complete a Master’s Degree in Strategic Studies. Over the past 12 years, I have taught chess to students with different experience levels.
I believe chess teaching should focus on understanding rather than memorization. My lessons encourage students to ask questions and analyze positions carefully. I guide learners through puzzles, practice games, and discussions that help them develop stronger decision-making skills. Each student progresses at their own pace with supportive instruction.
Outside teaching, I continue studying famous chess matches and solving advanced puzzles to keep improving my own understanding of the game. These activities allow me to bring interesting examples into my lessons. Helping students become confident and thoughtful players is one of the most rewarding parts of teaching chess.

My chess lessons focus on helping students understand the ideas behind each move so they can think independently during games. Beginners start by learning the movement of each piece, the rules of the game, and the importance of controlling the center of the board. I explain how developing pieces early and protecting the king helps create a strong position. Practice games allow students to apply these ideas and slowly build confidence.
As learners gain more experience, we begin studying common tactical patterns such as forks, pins, and discovered attacks. These tactics help players recognize opportunities during games and avoid common mistakes. Students also learn simple opening principles and basic endgame strategies. Game analysis is an important part of the lesson because it helps students understand how decisions affect the final result.
Chess encourages patience, focus, and logical thinking. I guide students to evaluate positions calmly and consider several possible moves before making a decision. With regular practice, they develop better concentration and strategic thinking. My goal is to help students enjoy chess while building strong analytical skills.
