About Joseph
I have been involved with the game of chess for many years. In high school I was the president (and first board) of chess club and helped teach new members the game.
I continued to play casually during college in my schools club and online.
I am currently a high school math teacher and have ran scholastic chess clubs at several schools.
I currently run Queen City Chess Club a free local club where I help teach the game of chess and provide a meet up for players to enjoy the game.
I also have actively participate in local USCF tournaments since 2019

I am best at teaching beginner players fundamental principles to improve their game. I think it is most important that the lessons are fun and engaging, especially for younger players. For more serious players I enjoy playing training games with post game analysis.
