About Rina
My interest in chess began when I first learned the game during my childhood and quickly became fascinated by its strategic depth. I enjoyed analyzing different positions and thinking about how one move could influence the direction of the entire game. This curiosity eventually led me to study logical reasoning and mathematical thinking, completing a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics.
Over the past 6 years, I have taught chess to students with different levels of experience and different learning goals. Some learners wanted to prepare for school tournaments, while others simply wanted to improve their strategic thinking skills. Teaching these students helped me develop clear and structured ways to explain complex chess ideas.
My teaching approach focuses on patience, logical analysis, and encouraging independent thinking. I guide students through practice games and strategic exercises that help strengthen their decision-making. Helping learners build confidence in their thinking and discover the enjoyment of strategic gameplay is one of the most rewarding aspects of my teaching experience.

My chess lessons are designed to help students understand the strategic thinking that makes the game both challenging and rewarding. Chess is more than a board game; it encourages logical reasoning, patience, and careful decision making. In my lessons, students gradually learn how to analyze positions on the board, plan their moves thoughtfully, and recognize important patterns during a match.
Lessons usually begin with reviewing the movement of pieces and the basic principles of strong openings. Students practice controlling the center of the board, developing pieces efficiently, and protecting key squares. These early concepts help learners build a strong foundation while understanding how successful strategies begin during the opening stage of the game.
As students gain more experience, lessons expand into tactical patterns and deeper strategic ideas. Students learn to recognize forks, pins, discovered attacks, and different checkmate patterns. We also review completed games together so learners can understand the reasoning behind successful moves. My goal is to help students become confident players who enjoy the intellectual challenge of chess.
