About Zlata

Hello! My name is Zlata, and I'm 17 years old. My ELO is 2136, and I'm passionate about playing and investigating chess and its impact on the human mindset. I have been playing professionally for 5 years, and I also have experience coaching children and adults for 1.5 years. Chess is not only a game and a sport—it's an art of the mind, which develops skills such as logical thinking, decision-making, analyzing situations, and creating plans. My teaching will be suitable for you if you are a beginner or want to improve your skills. I'm an active player, so I will use my relevant experience and mistakes to teach you :)

About the lesson

At my lessons I use Google Meet and a popular platform for playing and studying chess called lichess.org, chessable.com, chesskids.com different chess books and journals. The plan of studying will be customized to your level and preferences. You'll get basic chess skills, such as checkmating, tactical vision, fundamentals of strategy, forming an opening repertoire, understanding endgames, and more. You'll learn how to analyze your games, find out how to participate in chess tournaments, and improve your play. You'll grasp the principles of professional and amateur psychology, and understand why chess, in some cases, can be considered a model for life.

Perfect! Definitely don't let Zlata's age fool you. She is wise beyond her years. She has an excellent grasp of chess theory, analysis and tactics. She is able to break down complex concepts and explain them step-by-step in simple terms. She is an excellent teacher, who is very patient and kind. I really cannot recommend her enough.
