About Mara
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Game Theory and Strategic Studies and have 6 years of experience teaching chess to learners of various ages and skill levels. My philosophy emphasizes logical reasoning, strategic awareness, and tactical mastery while maintaining a supportive, patient, and engaging environment. I aim to help students develop confidence, problem-solving ability, and analytical thinking through structured and practical guidance.
Lessons are designed according to student proficiency. Beginners focus on fundamental moves, simple tactics, and checkmates; intermediate students refine calculation, strategy, and positional understanding; advanced learners practice complex combinations, endgames, and tournament preparation. Each session combines exercises, practical games, and constructive feedback to ensure steady and measurable growth.
Outside teaching, I study grandmaster games, explore advanced strategies, and follow contemporary chess theory to enrich my lessons. Helping students achieve strategic mastery, logical clarity, and competitive confidence remains the most fulfilling aspect of my work.

My chess lessons are designed to develop strategic insight, logical reasoning, and problem-solving skills. Students study openings, tactical motifs, middlegame strategies, endgame techniques, calculation methods, and pattern recognition. Lessons include interactive exercises, puzzles, analysis of grandmaster games, and practical simulations to help students think critically, anticipate moves, and make informed decisions. I provide a supportive environment where learners feel comfortable experimenting, analyzing mistakes, and learning from each game.
Lessons are adapted to each learner’s level. Beginners focus on understanding piece movement, basic tactics, checkmates, and simple strategies to establish a strong foundation. Intermediate learners refine openings, positional play, pattern recognition, calculation speed, and strategic decision-making. Advanced students tackle complex combinations, advanced endgames, tournament strategies, and mental resilience. Every session integrates guided problem-solving, feedback, and practical play to reinforce understanding and build confidence.
The ultimate aim of my chess teaching is to help students think logically, plan ahead, and develop strategic confidence that extends beyond the board. Students gain patience, analytical skills, and creative thinking. Each lesson combines technical mastery with strategic exploration, creating an engaging, intellectually stimulating, and rewarding learning experience.
