About Ruben
I'm an active chess player and coach. Throughout my career I've won different tournaments, most notably the First League at the Russian Chess Championship. Now I continue to compete regularly in tournaments while coaching students of all levels, from beginners to advanced players preparing for competition.
For beginners I offer a structured curriculum that I've refined through repeated use with multiple students — covering both the fundamentals of the game and deeper strategic concepts, including planning and positional understanding. Students progress step by step, building a solid foundation before moving into more advanced material.
For more advanced players I provide in-depth opening preparation, drawing on ideas from various grandmaster and master-level courses, adapted and refined to fit each player's specific level and style.
