About Esther
I’m Esther and I'm in my first year studying a Masters in Chemistry. I am very passionate about sustainability and equality in the world around me. Some of my hobbies include baking, film and sea swimming. I have always been involved in the community (I'm a founder member of @brightonperiodproject) and was helping fellow students with science, which is how I first started teaching. When I began tutoring, about two years ago, it was really nice to be properly helping someone else, whilst also consolidating my own learning.

Our lessons would be uniquely tailored to you. I create sessions which are enjoyable, engaging and effective, including for students with dyslexia and those who feel anxious about learning. I offer clear, structured learning. I either work through specific things that you want to improve or might be struggling with or I work systematically through exam specifications with you. I make sure that we cover the ins and outs of all your topics. I also cover exam technique by practising exam questions and reviewing mark schemes. I help you learn how to optimise your own time and revision, such as learning how to make effective mind maps and flashcards. I have a calm teaching style and listen carefully to what students need.
