About the lesson

I’m an experienced Chemistry tutor with over 9 years of helping students succeed in understanding the fascinating chemistry of life. I hold a BSc in Chemistry and Nanoscience, and my passion lies in exploring how molecules drive biological systems. I specialise in guiding students through the complexities of bio-organic chemistry, making the subject accessible and engaging. I enjoy showing students the chemical logic behind biological processes — how life itself follows the same rules of bonds and electrons. Together, we dive deep into reaction mechanisms in biochemistry, unravelling how molecules transform and interact inside cells. I emphasise how enzyme catalysis works at the molecular level, helping students appreciate nature’s incredible efficiency. One of my favourite topics to teach is the synthesis of biologically active molecules, connecting organic reactions to real-world medical and biological applications. Over the years, I’ve mentored many future biochemists and medicinal chemists, helping them build strong conceptual foundations and research skills.
