About Kiara
I’m a Chemistry tutor with over 5 years of experience and hold an MSc in Environmental Chemistry. My teaching focuses on the fascinating chemistry behind electroplating and surface finishing. I take an interdisciplinary approach, connecting electrochemical theory with real-world applications in materials science and industry. In my lessons, we explore electrochemical deposition, electrode kinetics, and the role of bath composition in achieving high-quality coatings. I also help students understand how material properties change through surface treatments, and why these changes matter. From decorative finishes to corrosion-resistant layers, we examine both aesthetics and function. I’ve worked closely with students interested in materials engineering, applied chemistry, and industrial manufacturing.
