About Simon
My interest in chemistry began with curiosity about how invisible interactions create visible change. This fascination led me to complete an M.Sc in Chemical Sciences, where I gained deep exposure to theoretical chemistry, laboratory analysis, and research-based learning. Over 8 years of teaching, I have worked with students from diverse backgrounds, helping them overcome fear and confusion through patient, structured explanation. I approach teaching with clarity and empathy, understanding that chemistry can feel overwhelming at first. My goal is to break complex ideas into manageable steps while helping students see the logical connections between concepts. I adapt explanations using analogies, diagrams, and real-life examples to match individual learning styles. Outside teaching, I stay engaged with chemistry through continued reading, scientific updates, and analytical exploration. This keeps my understanding current and allows me to provide meaningful context during lessons. Teaching chemistry is rewarding because I witness students move from hesitation to confidence, developing trust in their ability to understand and apply scientific reasoning effectively.
