About Lucy

My interest in chemistry developed when I first learned how chemical reactions explain many natural and industrial processes. I found it fascinating that small particles such as atoms and molecules can combine in different ways to form entirely new substances. This curiosity encouraged me to pursue a Bachelor’s in Chemistry and later complete a Master’s in Chemistry.

During the past 7 years, I have worked with students who wanted to improve their understanding of chemistry at different academic levels. Through my teaching experience, I noticed that many students struggle with chemistry because they try to memorize reactions without understanding the concepts behind them. Because of this, I focus on explaining chemical ideas clearly so learners can understand how reactions occur and why they happen.

My teaching style emphasizes logical explanation, consistent practice, and thoughtful discussion. I encourage students to ask questions, explore chemical relationships, and gradually develop confidence in solving chemistry problems.

About the lesson

My chemistry lessons focus on helping students understand the scientific principles that explain how substances interact and transform. Chemistry often involves many formulas and reactions, which can feel overwhelming if concepts are not explained clearly. In my lessons, I guide students through each topic step by step so they can understand the reasoning behind chemical processes rather than simply memorizing equations.

Lessons begin with the essential foundations of chemistry such as atomic structure, elements, compounds, and the periodic table. Once students understand these core ideas, they begin exploring chemical bonding, reaction types, and the energy changes that occur during reactions. Intermediate learners also study topics such as acids and bases, solution chemistry, and chemical equilibrium.

As learners progress further, they begin exploring more advanced topics including organic chemistry basics and reaction mechanisms. Students also practice solving numerical and conceptual problems that help strengthen their analytical thinking. My goal is to help learners build strong confidence in understanding chemical reactions and applying chemical knowledge in academic studies.
