About Ella

I have spent 10 years teaching chemistry, earning a B.Sc in Chemistry and an M.Sc in Organic and Analytical Chemistry. My experience spans mentoring students from beginners establishing strong foundations to advanced learners preparing for research, competitive exams, or higher education. I focus on connecting theoretical concepts with practical application, using interactive exercises, laboratory techniques, and real-world examples to make chemistry both engaging and intellectually enriching.

My teaching approach emphasises patience, clarity, and individualised guidance. Lessons integrate structured problem-solving, demonstrations, practical examples, and conceptual reinforcement to encourage independent thinking, curiosity, and confidence. I create a supportive environment where learners feel comfortable exploring ideas, asking questions, and experimenting to deepen their understanding of chemistry.

Beyond teaching, I actively follow research in chemical sciences, laboratory innovations, and applied technologies, integrating relevant insights into lessons. Witnessing students transform from hesitant learners into confident problem-solvers and competent scientists is deeply fulfilling. My aim is to instil curiosity, mastery, and a lasting appreciation for chemistry in every student I mentor.

Chemistry becomes accessible and enjoyable when students understand how theoretical concepts apply to real-world phenomena. My lessons cover atomic and molecular structures, chemical bonding, reaction kinetics, equilibrium, stoichiometry, thermodynamics, spectroscopy, and laboratory techniques. I use interactive demonstrations, virtual or hands-on experiments, step-by-step problem-solving, and real-life examples to ensure students develop both conceptual understanding and practical skills. Each lesson promotes curiosity, logical reasoning, and analytical thinking while providing a supportive environment where learners feel comfortable asking questions and experimenting safely.

Lesson plans are customised to match students’ experience levels. Beginners focus on foundational principles, measurement techniques, simple calculations, and understanding chemical phenomena. Intermediate learners study reaction mechanisms, equilibrium problems, titration exercises, and applied chemical reasoning. Advanced learners tackle multi-step synthesis problems, complex kinetics, thermodynamic calculations, and research-style analyses. Personalised guidance, structured exercises, and continuous feedback ensure consistent skill development and confidence in every learner.

Chemistry instruction nurtures analytical thinking, precision, and systematic problem-solving skills that extend beyond the classroom. Students gain the ability to interpret data, predict outcomes, and solve complex chemical problems independently. My goal is to foster deep understanding, practical ability, and intellectual curiosity, helping students excel academically while developing a lasting appreciation for the scientific method and chemical sciences.
