About Willow
I graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder with a Bachelor’s in Chemistry, and I spent several years organizing chemistry demo nights for high schoolers across the state. Now, with six years of tutoring experience, I work online with students who are trying to find peace with chemistry again. I’ve seen struggling students grow into curious ones—and that is the best part of this job.

Chemistry becomes less intimidating when you realize it’s not just in labs—it’s in heat, flavor, color, breath, and motion. I teach the subject by tying every idea to something students already recognize. Whether we’re exploring the bonds of Organic Chemistry, the movement of electrons in Electrochemistry, the life behind Biochemistry, or the delicious transformations in Food Chemistry, I always bring it back to something real.
My goal is to help students truly understand, not just repeat what they’ve been told. I take time to explain the why, to simplify the vocabulary, and to help students feel strong even when the topic is difficult. This emotional balance helps them walk into college chemistry feeling prepared, steady, and far less afraid.
