About Reem
I'm Reem, a chemistry teacher with 30 years of experience, a bachelors degree in Chemistry and a masters in Education. I taught IB Diploma and A-Level chemistry in Barcelona, where I also looked after the school's chemistry lab, so practical work is part of my everyday life, not just theory on a page.
I teach because I love the moment a student who was sure they were "bad at chemistry" suddenly gets it. That moment rarely comes from rereading notes. It comes from seeing an idea from a new angle, which is why I've spent years developing games and activities that make abstract chemistry concrete. I now write complete play-based teaching guides for other IB chemistry teachers too.
I'm patient, organised and honest about where a student stands. My goal is not only better grades, but students who feel confident enough to tackle any question on their own.

I'm a practising IB DP and A-Level chemistry teacher at a school in Barcelona, so I know exactly what the current syllabus (IB first assessment 2025) and the exams expect.
My lessons are built on one idea: chemistry makes sense when you can see it working. Alongside clear explanations and worked examples, I use short games and hands-on models to turn abstract ideas like equilibrium, bonding or reaction rates into something you can picture and reason about. I write my own play-based teaching materials, so every lesson has activities designed for exactly that topic.
Each lesson follows the same rhythm: we find the gaps, fix them with explanation and a quick activity, then practise real exam-style questions using IB command terms, so you learn not just the chemistry but how to score the marks.
Lessons are for IB DP students (SL and HL) and A-Level students, whether you're catching up, aiming for a 7, or preparing for exams or the IA. Lessons usually last 60 minutes, in person in Barcelona or online.
