About Madison
My fascination with chemistry began during laboratory experiments where I observed how small molecular changes can produce powerful reactions. This experience inspired me to complete a Bachelor’s in Chemistry and later a Master’s in Physical Chemistry. During the past 7 years, I have taught chemistry by focusing on clear explanations and practical understanding of chemical principles.
I believe students learn chemistry best when complex ideas are broken into smaller, logical steps. My teaching style combines diagrams, structured explanations, and problem-solving practice. This approach helps learners understand not only how reactions occur but also why they behave in specific ways.
Outside teaching, I continue reading about chemical research and industrial applications of chemistry. These interests help me connect classroom learning with real scientific developments. Teaching chemistry is rewarding because I see students develop confidence in a subject that once seemed difficult, and they begin to appreciate the science behind everyday materials.

Chemistry becomes clearer when students understand how atoms and molecules interact to create chemical change. My lessons focus on explaining the logic behind reactions rather than asking students to memorize formulas without context. I guide learners through topics such as atomic structure, bonding, periodic trends, and reaction mechanisms using simple explanations and visual diagrams that make abstract ideas easier to understand.
Lesson plans are adjusted to match each student’s learning stage. Beginners focus on basic chemical terms, elements, compounds, and simple reactions. Intermediate learners study chemical equations, balancing methods, and solution chemistry. Advanced students analyze reaction mechanisms, stoichiometry calculations, and exam-level problem solving. Throughout each lesson, I provide structured examples and guided practice to help students strengthen their understanding step by step.
When students understand the patterns behind chemical reactions, the subject becomes far less intimidating. My aim is to build both conceptual clarity and confidence. As learners develop stronger reasoning skills, they become more comfortable approaching complex questions and exploring the fascinating behavior of chemical systems.
