About Benjamin
I'm starting my second year of a master's in chemistry at the University of Liverpool this year.
I am a patient, adaptable tutor who can tailor my approach to any student once I learn what's best for you. I can also tutor both biology and chemistry, which is a common combination.

I always try my best to be as visual as I can in my lessons, using diagrams, drawings, graphics, and pseudo-puppet shows, with whatever happens to be on my desk at the time. I believe this helps students visualise concepts. I also try to teach using real-world applications of topics so what we're learning doesn't feel like learning just for the sake of learning.
My biggest strength as a tutor is exam technique. I have done countless past papers across multiple exam boards and marked them myself and have been able to pick up what mark schemes are looking for as a result,
My usual lessons are an hour, but I prefer an hour and a half to two as it allows us to apply the theory in exam-style questions instead of doing them in the next lesson.
I achieved A*AA at A-Level in Chemistry, Biology and Geography, respectively and got a high 2:1 average across all modules in first year.
I've been tutoring privately for three and a half years now, and before that I tutored small groups of A-Level students in my old sixth form.
My lessons are best suited to A-Level and GCSE students across all exam boards.
