About Negar
I am a chemistry tutor and laboratory instructor with 4 years of teaching experience at the University of Victoria, helping students understand chemistry concepts, improve their problem-solving skills, and build confidence in their learning.
I hold two master's degrees in civil engineering (material-focused) and polymer engineering, providing me with a strong academic foundation and a deep understanding of chemical principles. My teaching experience has allowed me to work with students at different levels and develop effective ways to explain challenging topics in a clear and approachable manner.
I believe successful chemistry learning comes from understanding the concepts behind the equations. My goal is to help students move beyond memorization by building strong foundations, developing logical problem-solving strategies, and making connections between different chemistry topics.
My tutoring style is based on clear explanations, structured practice, and personalized support. I adapt each lesson to the student’s needs, whether they are looking to strengthen fundamentals, improve grades, prepare for exams, or gain confidence in chemistry.
