About Alexa

My fascination with chemistry began when I realized that everyday materials follow predictable scientific patterns. This curiosity encouraged me to study chemistry at the university level, where I completed a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry. Over the past 6 years, I have helped students understand chemical principles and improve their confidence in science.

I believe that clear explanation and patience are essential for teaching complex subjects. Many students initially find chemistry challenging because of unfamiliar terms and formulas. My teaching approach focuses on simplifying ideas and explaining them step by step so that learners can build understanding gradually.

Outside teaching, I enjoy reading about modern chemical research and environmental science developments. Staying informed about new discoveries helps me share interesting insights with students. Teaching chemistry allows me to guide learners toward scientific understanding while helping them develop curiosity about the chemical processes that shape our world.

About the lesson

Chemistry becomes more understandable when students see how chemical ideas explain the behavior of materials around them. My lessons focus on connecting scientific concepts with real-world observations so learners can recognize how chemistry affects daily life. We begin with topics such as atomic structure, elements, and simple chemical reactions. These foundational ideas help students understand how matter is organized and how substances interact.

During lessons, I guide students through important topics including chemical bonding, acids and bases, and reaction balancing. Concepts are explained using diagrams and examples that help learners visualize how particles interact. Practice questions allow students to apply their knowledge and develop stronger analytical skills. I encourage discussion because students often understand chemistry better when they actively explore the reasoning behind each reaction.

As students progress, they begin to recognize chemistry in everyday experiences such as cooking, environmental processes, and industrial applications. This understanding makes the subject more meaningful and interesting. My goal is to help learners build confidence in chemistry while developing a deeper appreciation for the scientific principles that explain the behavior of matter.
