About Quinn

I hold a B.Sc in Chemistry and an M.Sc in Physical Chemistry, with 11 years of experience teaching chemistry to students from diverse academic backgrounds. My academic training helped me understand the balance between theory, mathematics, and real-world chemical behavior. My teaching approach is calm, structured, and supportive. I focus on identifying where confusion begins and addressing it through clear explanations and guided practice. I encourage students to think through problems systematically rather than rushing toward answers. Beyond teaching, I remain engaged with chemistry through research reading, laboratory methodology studies, and scientific discussions. Teaching chemistry is meaningful to me because it allows students to replace fear with understanding. Supporting learners as they develop accuracy, confidence, and curiosity is one of the most satisfying parts of my work.

About the lesson

Chemistry becomes approachable when students understand the reasoning behind reactions rather than memorizing equations. My lessons focus on explaining chemical behavior through logical patterns, clear visualization, and gradual concept building. I help learners understand how atoms, molecules, and energy interactions shape chemical reactions and material properties.

Students start with foundational topics such as atomic structure, periodic trends, bonding, and stoichiometry. Intermediate lessons cover thermodynamics, acids and bases, kinetics, equilibrium, and electrochemistry. Advanced learners explore organic chemistry mechanisms, spectroscopy basics, and applied problem-solving. I emphasize unit consistency, stepwise calculations, and conceptual justification in every lesson.

Chemistry lessons also strengthen analytical thinking, attention to detail, and structured reasoning. As students gain clarity, they approach chemical problems with more confidence and less anxiety. My aim is to help learners feel capable of understanding chemistry logically, performing accurately in exams, and appreciating chemistry as a subject rooted in reasoning rather than memorization.
