About Ava
I completed my Bachelor’s in Chemistry from the University of Iowa, where I helped train high school students during science fairs and lab preparation days. With 6+ years of teaching, I’ve developed a style that is clear, patient, and centered on making chemistry less intimidating. Students appreciate that I explain chemistry in a way that feels logical, relatable, and easy to remember.

I teach Chemistry by connecting it to daily life. I show students how atoms form everything around them, how simple reactions create big changes, and how chemical processes appear in cooking, nature, warmth, and energy.
As they grow stronger, I help them step into Organic Chemistry’s structured patterns, Biochemistry’s living processes, Electrochemistry’s energy movement, and Food Chemistry’s everyday relevance. My lessons focus on helping students build real comprehension, not memorization, so they are well prepared for college-level general chemistry when the time comes.
