About Fred

My interest in chemistry began with curiosity about how invisible molecular interactions shape the physical world. This fascination led me to pursue an M.Sc in Physical Chemistry, where I studied molecular behaviour, energy systems, and chemical modelling in depth. Over the past 10 years, I have taught students from varied academic backgrounds, helping them develop clarity, confidence, and structured thinking in chemistry. I teach with patience, empathy, and adaptability, understanding that chemistry often feels overwhelming without clear guidance. I focus on breaking complex ideas into manageable steps and using visual explanations to support understanding. Many students who once felt discouraged gradually gain confidence as they learn how chemical systems behave logically. Outside teaching, I remain actively engaged with chemistry through scientific reading, research updates, and exploration of applied chemical processes. Teaching chemistry is deeply fulfilling to me because I witness students transform confusion into confidence and develop strong scientific reasoning skills that support lifelong learning.

About the lesson

Chemistry becomes far more understandable when students are guided to see structure and logic behind chemical behaviour. In my lessons, I support learners in understanding atomic theory, periodic trends, bonding, stoichiometry, reaction mechanisms, thermodynamics, acids and bases, and solution chemistry through calm, step-by-step explanation. I focus on helping students visualise molecular interactions so abstract ideas feel connected and meaningful. Lesson plans are carefully tailored to academic level. Beginners explore elements, compounds, basic reactions, and chemical notation with structured support. Intermediate learners work on quantitative chemistry, equilibrium, redox processes, and energetics. Advanced learners focus on reaction pathways, thermodynamic reasoning, laboratory-style calculations, and exam preparation. Each lesson includes guided examples, reasoning practice, and feedback to build confidence. Chemistry lessons also strengthen analytical thinking, attention to detail, and patience. As learners gain clarity, they feel more confident approaching unfamiliar problems. My goal is to help students view chemistry as a logical, rewarding subject that encourages curiosity and disciplined thinking rather than memorisation.
