About Mae
I am a chemistry tutor with 9 years of experience and a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry and a Master’s Degree in Physical Chemistry. My interest in chemistry began with curiosity about how matter behaves, transforms, and interacts at the molecular level. Over time, this curiosity developed into a strong passion for teaching and guiding students. I have worked with learners from different academic backgrounds and helped them build strong conceptual understanding and confidence. My goal is to make chemistry simple, engaging, and meaningful for every student.
My teaching approach focuses on clarity, patience, and structured explanation so students can learn comfortably at their own pace. I break down complex ideas into smaller steps and use real-life examples, diagrams, and logical reasoning to support understanding. I encourage students to think independently and solve problems confidently. Creating a supportive learning environment is very important to me. Students feel comfortable asking questions and learning without pressure. I provide regular feedback and guidance to help them improve steadily and build strong conceptual foundations over time.
I continue updating my knowledge and refining my teaching methods to keep lessons effective and relevant. Teaching chemistry is very rewarding because I see students grow in confidence and understanding. I enjoy helping learners overcome difficulties and develop genuine interest in the subject. I focus on helping students understand the reasoning behind chemical processes so they can apply knowledge instead of memorizing formulas blindly. Real-life examples are used to connect abstract concepts with everyday chemical behavior, making learning more meaningful and engaging. Each lesson is carefully structured so students can follow without confusion. I create a calm and supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace. Practice problems are included in every session to strengthen accuracy and improve confidence gradually.
Lessons are adapted based on each student’s level and learning speed. Beginners focus on foundational concepts with simple explanations and visual support. Intermediate learners work on chemical equations, reaction mechanisms, and numerical problem solving.
