About Grace
I earned my B.Sc in Chemistry and later completed an M.Sc in Physical Chemistry, where I developed a strong appreciation for the mathematical and conceptual depth of the subject. Over 11 years of teaching, I have helped students transform confusion into clarity by focusing on understanding rather than memorisation. These experiences refined my calm, methodical teaching style. I believe chemistry should be taught as a logical system rather than a collection of formulae. My teaching approach emphasises adaptability, allowing me to explain concepts in multiple ways until understanding becomes natural. I encourage students to think critically and ask questions freely. Beyond teaching, I stay connected to chemistry through academic reading and continuous learning. This keeps my explanations current and relevant. My chemistry lessons focus on helping students understand how and why chemical reactions occur rather than memorising isolated rules. I introduce atomic structure, bonding, reaction mechanisms, stoichiometry, thermodynamics, and equilibrium using structured explanation and practical reasoning. Lessons are delivered in a calm, supportive environment that encourages questions and curiosity. Intermediate learners strengthen numerical accuracy, reaction balancing, and interpretation of chemical data. Advanced learners focus on multi-step problem-solving, exam preparation, and deeper conceptual connections between topics. I guide students carefully through errors, helping them understand their thought process and improve logical consistency. Chemistry lessons also build discipline and attention to detail. Students often realise chemistry becomes manageable once patterns and principles are understood. My goal is to help learners approach chemistry with confidence and structured reasoning.
