About Leah
My interest in chemistry began with a fascination for how substances transform and interact at a molecular level. This passion led me to earn a Master’s Degree in Chemical Sciences, where I conducted research and studied advanced chemical behavior and reactions. Over ten years of teaching, I have had the privilege of guiding students through both basic and advanced chemical concepts, helping them gain confidence and appreciation for the subject. My teaching style is centered on clarity, creativity, and consistency. I focus on breaking down complex reactions into understandable steps, ensuring students develop true conceptual understanding. I encourage them to ask questions, analyze patterns, and trust their ability to learn and improve. Chemistry requires both precision and imagination, and I strive to nurture both in my students. Beyond teaching, I remain engaged in ongoing research reading, laboratory work, and scientific discussions. Chemistry is the science that reveals the invisible interactions that define matter, transformation, and life itself. In my lessons, students are guided to understand how atoms, molecules, and reactions shape the world around them. I create an engaging and supportive atmosphere where learners explore concepts through imagination, structured reasoning, and real-world application. Chemistry becomes a journey of discovery rather than memorization, inviting students to see the beauty within reactions and compounds.
At beginner levels, students explore atomic structure, the periodic table, bonding, and basic chemical reactions. Intermediate learners analyze stoichiometry, acids and bases, reaction rates, and thermochemistry. Advanced students explore organic chemistry, electrochemistry, and analytical techniques with greater depth. Lessons include visual models, guided problem-solving, and real-life case studies that help learners see chemical principles in action. I support strong foundation building while encouraging scientific curiosity.
As students progress, their understanding evolves into confidence and intellectual curiosity. Chemistry develops accuracy, patience, and observational strength. Students begin to recognize how scientific knowledge connects to medicine, technology, and environmental systems. My goal is to help them approach chemistry not as an obstacle, but as a fascinating key to understanding the material universe.
