About Hania
I am a recent graduate of Carleton University with a Bachelor in Chemistry and Nanotechnology. I was born and raised in Mauritius where we speak Mauritian Creole (an alteration of French with a mix of English), French and English. I also speak Urdu and learnt a bit of Arabic (but not fluent in the latter). I came to Ottawa, Canada as an international student and my knowledge of French has been nothing but beneficial for me. I was also ranked 1st in French in my high school and have won numerous competitions (dictation, recitation, narration among others) on a national level. I have an excellent grasp of the language because I still speak to clients in French everyday at work.

I have grown up speaking French and speak French at work everyday. This makes me an excellent candidate as your French tutor! Very attentive to details and I will also be very present for any of your specific needs from these lessons. You can choose your own pace but we will be very regular with homework and engaging lessons. Typical lessons would be 30 mins- 1 hour. I can teach young kids but also anyone who wants to learn the language, no matter what your age is. We can work based on your school schedules and syllabus but it can also be just conversing if practice is all you need. It is really open to everyone!
