About Claire
I am a sophomore, chemical engineering student at Johns Hopkins University, where I currently tutor physics 1 (mechanics) and linear algebra/differential equations. I do research on campus at a lab that focuses on injectable hydrogels -- a novel nanomedicine that promotes slow-release drug delivery. I'm also a member of the biochemical subteam of the Mars Rover team at Hopkins, where I do soil experiments to try to determine if there are traces of life. Aside from that, I love to cook/bake, play tennis, and do pilates/yoga with my roommates!

I have plenty of experience tutoring at Johns Hopkins, where I go to school, and I think those skills would transfer great to any highschool or college students! I'm quite patient, adaptable to different tutoring techniques based on the learning style of my student, and passionate about all things STEM. I've taken and gotten A's in physics (both mechanics and electricity/magnetism), introductory chemistry, organic chemistry, biochemistry, calculus 1, 2, and 3, linear algebra, and differential equations. A typical lesson plan would consist of a few things -- we would start by reviewing some content, then we would move into practice problems (or homework)! I could also help with practice exams and projects.
