About Jawairiya
With over five years of experience teaching science in two of the UK’s highest-performing secondary schools, I understand what it takes to help students succeed—regardless of their starting point. I hold a degree in Chemical Engineering and have a proven record of raising achievement, including leading my class to the best GCSE results in the department, with the only Grade 9s across the cohort. I bring the same high standards, care, and commitment to tutoring as I do in the classroom. As an experienced and passionate science educator with over five years of teaching in two of the UK’s top 1% nationally ranked schools for GCSE progress, I bring a dynamic and supportive approach to online tutoring. My lessons, typically lasting 60 minutes, are carefully structured to build understanding, boost confidence, and make science engaging and accessible. I specialise in working with KS3 and GCSE students and have a strong track record of helping learners make excellent progress—my class achieved the highest GCSE results in the department in 2024, including the only Grade 9s. I use a range of interactive tools and real-world examples to bring science to life, and tailor every session to meet the individual needs of each student.
