About Aarha

Hi! My name is Aarha! I am a current undergraduate student at Cal Poly Pomona, where I am studying Chemical Engineering with a minor in Microbiology. I have always had a passion for subjects like Math and Science, and I am grateful for the opportunity to share my knowledge by tutoring others who share similar interests. In college, I have delved into various courses encompassing Math, Engineering, Biological Sciences, Chemistry, and Physics. With these subjects fresh in my mind, I am confident in my ability to deliver effective tutoring sessions. I offer tutoring in High School Math (Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus AB), SAT Math (having achieved a perfect score of 800), Science (Chemistry and AP Chemistry), and Excel. Though my tutoring experience is limited to aiding friends with their studies and teaching my younger sibling, I have worked as a Science Camp Instructor, where I taught children a wide range of scientific concepts. Additionally, I have 2 years of teaching under my belt. I am a choreographer of a local dance team, where I have taught several beginners. These experiences have honed my patience and ability to adapt my teaching to suit individual learning styles.

About the lesson

As a tutor, I employ varying strategies tailored to the subject matter at hand. For example, in mathematics, I prioritize thorough concept explanations followed by practice problems to solidify understanding. In science classes, I like to explain the theory in-depth to give an explanation behind problem-solving methodologies.
This approach will ensure comprehension as well as a deep appreciation for the subject being taught!
