About Leon
Learning a language takes courage, and I take that seriously. My lessons are practical and conversational
We'll focus on English you can actually use, whether that's workplace communication, everyday situations, or building your grammar from the ground up. Every session has a clear aim and structure, so you always know what you're working towards, even when the atmosphere is relaxed.
I'm CertTESOL qualified, which means I've been trained specifically in how adults learn languages — not just what to teach, but how to teach it effectively. I've worked with adult learners across all levels, both online and face to face, and I adapt my approach to suit your pace, your goals, and your learning style.
I'm particularly experienced with learners from Russian, Ukrainian, Japanese and Brazilian backgrounds, and I have a genuine interest in those cultures and languages. That means you'll never feel like just another student — I understand where you're coming from, and I know where the real challenges tend to be.

My lessons are practical and conversational, we work on English you can actually use, whether that's workplace situations, everyday chat, or building up your grammar from scratch. I follow a clear structure in each lesson so there's always a purpose, but it never feels like a formal class.
Sessions are usually 50–60 minutes and I adapt completely to your level and what you want to get out of it. I've worked with adults from beginner to advanced, so wherever you're starting from, we'll find the right pace.
I'm CertTESOL qualified and have taught both online and in person. I'm particularly used to working with learners from Russian, Ukrainian, Japanese and Brazilian backgrounds, I find those lessons really rewarding and tend to have a good feel for where speakers of those languages need the most support.
