About Kendal
I am a passionate English tutor from South Africa with a strong background in communication, performance, and education. I hold a Level 3 TEFL qualification from The TEFL Academy (2023) and have professional experience teaching English online and privately to students from a wide range of countries and professional backgrounds.
Before becoming a tutor, I studied Musical Theatre, which developed my confidence, clear speaking skills, and ability to create engaging, dynamic learning environments. This background allows me to help students improve pronunciation, speaking fluency, and confidence while keeping lessons interactive and enjoyable.

My teaching approach is student-focused, interactive, and designed to help you communicate confidently in real-life situations. I believe that students learn best in a relaxed and supportive environment, so my lessons are engaging, energetic, and adapted to your personal goals. I gently correct mistakes while encouraging natural conversation, helping you improve fluency, pronunciation, vocabulary, and confidence step by step.
Each lesson is typically 50–60 minutes long and fully personalised. Depending on your needs, lessons may include conversational practice, practical role-plays, Business English communication, grammar support, or preparation for travel, relocation, or workplace situations.
I hold a Level 3 TEFL qualification from The TEFL Academy (2023) and have one year of experience teaching English online and privately to students aged 17 to 58 from a wide range of professional backgrounds, including working professionals studying Business English. I have worked extensively with Brazilian learners and understand the common challenges Portuguese speakers face when learning English.
My lessons are designed for teenagers and adults at beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels who want to improve their speaking confidence, professional communication, or everyday English skills.
