About Joyce

I’m Joyce, your friendly English teacher. My classes are all about speaking practice, clear pronunciation, and building confidence. No boring grammar drills - just fun, interactive lessons where YOU talk 70% of the time!
I teach English to students from age 5 to adults, beginners to intermediate level. Adults love my patience and kids love my energy!
My teaching style combines Communicative Language Teaching and student-centered learning.
I focus on speaking practice with 70% student talk time, using games, visuals, and real-life topics to keep classes fun. For young learners, I add phonics. For adults, I use roleplays and conversation.

My 25-min online lessons are student-centered and interactive.
I start with a warm-up to build rapport, then introduce 5-8 new vocabulary words using visuals. Next we practice through games and guided conversation so the student speaks 70% of the time.
I give clear, gentle corrections and end with quick review + positive feedback.
My goal is for every student to leave the class feeling more confident speaking English than when they joined.
