About Cathie
My name is Cathie Everett. I have been teaching for over 20 years and love to work one-on-one or with a small group with my students. I have three grown boys of my own and absolutely love reading! I also have a black lab named Tinkerbell! She is the sweetest and loves to go for walks and get treats. I would love to help in any way I can with your reading/ELA needs. No task is too small and I am very passionate about my feeling that every student should find a love for learning through reading.

Depending on the grade level of the child a typical tutoring session would consist of an introductory activity discussing the skill/standard that we would be addressing. Vocabulary words would be discussed and compiled for future lessons. Reading comprehension piece would follow with focus on any decoding skills if necessary. Lessons would typically end with some type of inferencing activity and allowing opportunity for writing as needed.
