About Rashmeet

I am a dedicated and determined teacher and has experience of teaching students. Impressive work ethic and commitment in creating a challenging yet nurturing learning environment. I am recognized for encouraging creativity and implementing activities that increases student engagement and performance. Strong educational background with Bachelors and Masters in English Literature and B.Ed. Teacher Degree and recently accomplished Masters of Education focused on thesis research detailing different types of teaching methodologies to enhance engagement and critical thinking ability in classroom learning.
Besides this, I am very much particular about the quality of teaching and the importance of time.
However, in terms of teaching experience, I taught K-7 in Pythagoras Academy Society, Richmond, BC for an entire school year. I worked as an English teacher in India and focused primarily on grammar, reading, writing skills. With this experience, I have strengthened my subject knowledge and ability to teach effectively. I have Interim Professional Certificate (Alberta Teachers Certificate). I also have the BC Independent School Teaching Certificate.

About the lesson

I am more inclined towards teaching through activity based or inquiry based learning. As I did Bachelors of Education, I know what students want to learn and in what ways. English teaching has always been my choice as it is full of stories telling method and gives you enough scope of creating your own ideas and pen it down. Hold a background in English Literature, I am very well aware of struggle a student can face while studying literature. I can help with it. I have good hand at grammar, writing skills, reading skills. I do not confine myself and my lesson plan only to the textbook teaching, instead tries to inculcate e-reading platforms like Epic, Raz Kids where children have a large variety of books to choose from. My lessons are usually for the grade 1-10 student, but I am willing to teach High School students too.
