Teaching children to read is my absolute passion, and there is nothing better than seeing a young learner suddenly click with a concept and smile with confidence. I am a certified K-8 Reading Specialist and K-12 English Language Development (ELD) Specialist with advanced training in dyslexia intervention. My lessons are grounded in the Science of Reading, ensuring your child receives structured, evidence-based instruction that gets real results.

Over my career, I have helped countless K-5 students close learning gaps, master phonics, and build lasting classroom confidence. Because I understand school benchmarks, IEPs, and report cards, I can seamlessly align our tutoring sessions with your child's classroom curriculum. About the lesson

Hello! I am a certified K-8 Reading Specialist and K-12 English Language Development (ELD) Specialist with advanced training in dyslexia intervention. While I am fully certified up through 12th grade, my true passion and specialization lies in early literacy intervention for K-5 learners. Whether your child is navigating school in English as an additional language, needs specialized reading support or dyslexia-friendly phonics instruction, or simply wants to boost their early reading confidence, my lessons are tailored precisely for them.

I don’t just open a book and ask your child to read to me. My lessons are grounded entirely in the Science of Reading and utilize explicit, systematic, and multi-sensory instruction. I use digital letter tiles, gamified phonics platforms, and interactive reward systems to keep young minds locked in. For language learners, I integrate research-backed ELD strategies to build academic vocabulary and syntax structure simultaneously with reading skills.
