About Seth
My name is Dr. Shoopman and I have been teaching since 2018. I received my Master's in Education in 2020 and my Doctorate in Education in 2024. I have taught more than 300 kids and have experience teaching all subjects in K-5. I am a passionate educator who wants nothing but the best for all students; my number one priority is ensuring my students feel safe, loved, and cared for by me. I enjoy teaching, asking and answering questions, checking for understanding throughout my lessons, and high engagement from students!

My thoughtful and engaging lessons allow any and all students to learn at their own pace. My lessons provide students with ample opportunities to ask thoughtful and meaningful questions, apply taught skills in differentiated ways, collaborate with other students, and provide myriad opportunities to practice before being assessed. A typical lesson of mine begins with a brief review of what was already taught, an engaging opening, concept development, teacher models with guided practice, independent practice, and a quick formative assessment to assess their learning and knowledge of the skill(s) taught. My lessons are for elementary-aged students, as well as students in high school and college.
