About YINUO

My name is Yinuo. I've been learning and speaking Putonghua since I was a child, and I always admired the idea of becoming a broadcaster — someone who speaks clearly, confidently, and professionally. This passion led me to study Broadcasting and Hosting at university, where years of dedicated training shaped my pronunciation and public speaking skills.

Through my studies and early work experience, I came to realize just how important strong Mandarin skills really are — whether you're passionate about Chinese culture, working in mainland China, or simply communicating professionally, Putonghua is the most widely understood form of Chinese. Speaking with a strong accent or dialect influence can genuinely hold people back in their careers.

It started with helping classmates whose Putonghua wasn't as strong, correcting their pronunciation and tones. Over time, I realized how much of a difference this made for them — not just in how they spoke, but in their confidence and opportunities. That's what motivated me to start tutoring professionally, and I've been helping students improve their Mandarin ever since.

About the lesson

I teach via video conferencing platforms such as Zoom, offering both video and audio-only sessions depending on the student's preference, and I prepare customised PPT slides for each lesson to keep things structured and engaging. Each session is 1 hour long. I have 3 years of Mandarin teaching experience and hold a Level 1-B Putonghua Proficiency Certificate, a high-level national certification for standard Mandarin pronunciation. I've also helped students prepare for and pass the Putonghua component of the Chinese Teacher Qualification Certificate exam (教师资格证). Over the years, I've taught students aged 16 to 60, ranging from complete beginners who only speak basic Cantonese, to advanced learners including university lecturers and other professionals.
