About Jalissa

My journey to life coaching began with a wine tasting that sparked a passion for self-discovery. As I learned to appreciate the nuances of wine, I realized the importance of understanding oneself with the same depth and care.
This pursuit led me to earn my WSET wine certification, which deepened my confidence and helped me embrace my authentic self. Now, as a Master Coach with 8+ years of experience, I bring that same sense of exploration and care to my sessions.
I work with women who:

Feel stuck in cycles or patterns they want to break
Are navigating difficult relationships or life transitions
Have been made uncomfortable by pushy coaches
Want to be heard—not fixed

My approach:
Like a sommelier helps you identify tasting notes in wine, I help you discover the wisdom that's already within you. I don't use frameworks or pressure tactics. I create a safe space for you to reflect, vent, and gain clarity.
Credentials:

Master Coach (8+ years, 100+ clients)
Cornell University certified (women's entrepreneurship)
WSET wine certification
Published author
Trauma-informed coaching

Sessions feel less like traditional coaching and more like a meaningful conversation where you're truly heard.

  • How long have you been interested in the field of well-being, and are you practicing?

I've been passionate about well-being since I was young, driven by my own need to advocate for myself. This sparked a lifelong interest in self-care and psychology, which I've continued to nurture through self-directed learning.
  • Tell us what your discipline can bring to people's lives.

My coaching helps people develop a sense of self-worth, allowing them to recognize their capabilities and overcome obstacles that once held them back. As they experience the power of consistency, they'll build confidence and achieve their goals.
  • Could you provide some instant top tips to help us feel good in body and mind?

To feel good in body and mind, it's essential to understand yourself and have faith in your abilities. Practice self-awareness to control your emotions, and take time to listen to your body in stillness, even if it's just for a moment.
  • How would you describe your method as a practitioner?

My coaching style combines self-reflection, conversational awareness, and feminine energy. I create a safe, supportive space for clients to explore their thoughts, feelings, and goals. Through this collaborative approach, individuals can gain clarity, build confidence, and develop the skills needed to achieve their aspirations.
  • With experience, are there things you have learned or unlearned about yourself or others?

Through my journey, I've learned that everyone has a unique path, and comparing ourselves to others is futile. I've unlearned the habit of comparison, embracing instead the beauty of individuality and subjective success.
  • Do you have a role model, a person who really inspired you?

I have several role models who embody powerful feminine energy. Tracie Ellis Ross inspired me to embrace my natural hair during her iconic role as Joan Clayton on "Girlfriends." Kimberla Lawson Roby motivated me to tap into my inner author and pursue my dream of publishing books. My future self has also been a significant role model, as envisioning my adult self living my dream life and achieving my goals has driven me to use my experiences and credentials to coach other women.
  • How do you personally relax; what methods work for you?

I unwind with a glass of Rosé wine and find solace in watching horror movies before bed. But what truly rejuvenates me is indulging in solitude, savoring the quiet moments while the world sleeps.
  • Tell us about a memorable lesson.

A pivotal lesson for me has been the importance of self-discovery. In my twenties, I struggled to understand my emotions and feelings, but through introspection, I gained clarity and confidence. This newfound self-awareness empowered me to pursue entrepreneurial opportunities and overcome self-doubt.
