About Maria

Hello, my name is Maria and I can help you start speaking Korean. I have been interested in Eastern culture since high school and I fell in love with Korean, an incredibly beautiful and unique language. A few details about myself: • Graduated from the top university for foreign languages in Ukraine — Kyiv National Linguistic University with a major in Korean language • Lived in Korea for 2 years • Studied twice in Korea at Busan University of Foreign Studies (BUFS), and worked as a translator in various fields and countries, including Korea • Worked for 2 years as a Korean translator in a Korean company • Have been studying Korean for over 13 years and teaching it for more than 8 years

About the lesson

• My classes are structured, I explain complicated things in a simple and clear way
• I make sure my students develop all language skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing
• My students have a lot of speaking practice during the lessons
• From the very first lessons my students begin to speak simple phrases in Korean and are even able to have a small conversation
• Since I have been teaching Korean for more than 8 years, I know which textbooks are the most effective and almost 100% of them are published by the best Korean universities
• I teach all levels: if you are an absolute beginner, don’t worry — we will start from scratch, learn 한글 (the Korean alphabet), and you’ll be able to read after just 1–2 lessons. Many of my students began with zero knowledge, and now some of them are already living and studying in Korea
