About Corey
My name is Corey L. Williams Jr., but most people know me as CJ. I was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, where I graduated from Denby Preparatory High School.
I come from a strong background in customer service and communication, with over five years of experience working in fast-paced, people-focused environments. Through my work, I’ve developed the ability to connect with individuals from all walks of life, communicate clearly, and create comfortable, engaging conversations—skills that translate naturally into teaching.
I have a passion for helping others grow in confidence, especially when it comes to speaking and understanding English. Whether it’s improving pronunciation, building vocabulary, or simply becoming more comfortable in everyday conversation, I enjoy guiding students at their own pace and celebrating their progress along the way.
In addition to my professional experience, I am also a creative and driven individual. As a fashion show producer and brand owner, I’ve learned the importance of presentation, confidence, and clear communication—qualities I bring into every session.
My goal as a tutor is to create a supportive, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable learning, making mistakes, and improving every day.
